Setting Up Call Forwarding
Forward calls from your existing business number to your Infercall AI receptionist. Choose your carrier or provider below for step-by-step instructions.
How Call Forwarding Works
Call forwarding lets you redirect incoming calls from your existing business number to your Infercall phone number. You can choose to forward:
- All calls — Every call goes directly to your AI receptionist.
- Unanswered calls — Only calls you don't pick up (recommended for most businesses).
- Busy calls — When you're already on another call.

Call forwarding isn't working
Make sure you include the full phone number with country code (e.g., +1 for US, +61 for Australia). Wait for a confirmation tone or message after activating. Some carriers require you to stay on the line for a few seconds.
Calls go straight to my carrier voicemail
You may need to disable your carrier's voicemail first, or set a shorter ring time for forwarding. Contact your carrier to adjust voicemail settings.
I'm being charged for forwarded calls
Most carriers treat forwarded calls as outgoing calls from your plan. Check with your carrier about forwarding rates. Consider using conditional forwarding (no-answer only) to minimize charges.
My carrier isn't listed
Most carriers use standard GSM forwarding codes (**21*, **61*, **67*). Try the codes listed under T-Mobile or contact your carrier's support for their specific codes.
