Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of Infercall's AI-powered voice agent platform. By using our Service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Permitted Use

The Service is designed for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Answering business phone calls with AI assistance
  • Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  • Providing information to callers about your business
  • Capturing messages and caller information
  • Transferring calls to human operators

3. Prohibited Activities

You must NOT use the Service to:

3.1 Illegal Activities

  • Conduct or facilitate any illegal activity
  • Violate telecommunications laws (TCPA, TSR, FCC regulations, etc.)
  • Make robocalls or automated calls without proper consent
  • Engage in wire fraud, telemarketing fraud, or scams
  • Evade law enforcement or regulatory authorities

3.2 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Send unsolicited marketing calls or messages
  • Make calls to numbers on Do-Not-Call registries
  • Engage in telemarketing without proper licenses and disclosures
  • Use auto-dialers in prohibited contexts

3.3 Deceptive Practices

  • Impersonate individuals, companies, or government entities
  • Misrepresent your identity or the nature of your business
  • Fail to disclose AI usage where legally required
  • Create deepfakes or manipulated audio for deceptive purposes
  • Spoof caller ID to deceive recipients

3.4 Harmful Content and Behavior

  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse others
  • Transmit hate speech, discriminatory, or violent content
  • Distribute malware or engage in phishing
  • Attempt to extract sensitive information through social engineering
  • Generate content that exploits or harms minors

3.5 AI-Specific Prohibitions

  • Train the AI to produce illegal, harmful, or unethical outputs
  • Attempt to bypass safety features or content filters
  • Use the AI for high-risk automated decision-making without human oversight
  • Generate misleading content designed to appear human-created
  • Use AI outputs for defamation or creating disinformation

3.6 Technical Abuse

  • Attempt to access systems or data without authorization
  • Circumvent usage limits, security measures, or access controls
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without authorization

4. Industry-Specific Requirements

Certain industries have additional regulatory requirements. If you operate in these sectors, you are responsible for ensuring compliance:

  • Healthcare (HIPAA): Ensure proper safeguards for protected health information
  • Financial Services: Comply with PCI-DSS for payment data, financial regulations for advice
  • Legal Services: Maintain attorney-client privilege, avoid unauthorized practice of law
  • Emergency Services: Do not use AI for emergency response without human backup

5. Call Recording Compliance

If you enable call recording, you must comply with all applicable laws:

  • Obtain required consent (one-party or all-party, depending on jurisdiction)
  • Provide clear disclosure that calls may be recorded
  • Comply with data retention and deletion requirements
  • Secure recordings appropriately

6. AI Disclosure Requirements

Many jurisdictions require disclosure that callers are interacting with AI:

  • Configure your agent to disclose AI nature where required by law
  • EU AI Act requires transparency about AI interactions
  • California and other US states have AI disclosure laws
  • We provide tools to enable automatic disclosure; you are responsible for using them appropriately

7. Enforcement

We may take the following actions for AUP violations:

  • Warning and request for corrective action
  • Temporary suspension of service
  • Permanent termination of account
  • Reporting to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
  • Legal action to recover damages

We reserve the right to monitor usage and investigate potential violations. Serious violations may result in immediate termination without prior warning.

8. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@infercall.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or our services. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
