AI application access

Bring the useful context to the AI application you choose.

If you use an AI application to help organise your work, give it selected information from your Infercall business. Keep the permission narrow, time-limited and under your control.

A visual walkthrough

01

Share the information needed for the task.

Choose from receptionist names and status, call history and saved summaries, knowledge-source names and status, or your business name and website. Knowledge-source access lists the sources; it does not read their document contents or answer questions from them.

02

Read-only means read-only.

This connection cannot make calls, send messages, book appointments or change your settings. It does not provide full transcripts, recording links, billing information or access to your connected provider accounts. Use it to bring selected saved context into your own work, not to give another application control of the receptionist.

03

Choose an application you trust with the information.

Call summaries may contain customer information. Read the chosen application’s privacy and retention terms before sharing. Removing access prevents future reads, but cannot retract data it has already copied. Returned caller or business text should be treated as information to assess, not instructions to obey.

MAKE IT YOURS

Set up the useful part.

Client compatibility matters. Access-key clients must support MCP with an authorised header or a local adapter. Ask us to confirm your intended application; directory availability is separate from Infercall access.

  1. An owner or administrator opens Settings → AI application access.
  2. Name the application, choose its read permissions and expiry, and acknowledge the data sharing.
  3. Use a compatible MCP client and keep its access key private. Review connected access and remove it when no longer needed.

Good questions.

Can the connected application send a text or make a booking?

No. The connection is read-only and exposes selected saved information, not calling, messaging or booking actions.

Can everyone on the team create access?

Only business owners and administrators can manage it. Choose the minimum permissions the application needs and an appropriate expiry.

Does removing access erase information from the other application?

No. It stops future reads through that access. The other application’s policies govern information it already received.
